China business relationships in United States

China has been encouraging greater business partnerships with American companies. China’s President Hu Jintao has sponsored numerous Chinese executives to visit the US to forge new business relationships. American states have trade offices fostering trade with China.

China represents major opportunities for cross border investments, for exports goods as well as import products and services. American businesses are exporting many American goods and services to China. Over the past decade, American exports to China have quadrupled to $50 billion which is much accelerating more than exports to the remainder of the world.

Growth of exports to China occurs includes multi-national American firms, as well as small and mid-size companies exporting to China. The number small exporters to China has grown to over 20,000 companies in a broad ange of markets.

There are excellent market opportunities for American businesses to export into China in a variety of markets, including industry, medicine, telecommunications, tools, environmental, security and recreational markets. In fact, China and Hong Kong represent the third largest exporting nation, following Canada and Mexico.
